YES-Ghana is organising a dissemination workshop for the just-completed ‘Ghana Youth Data Audit’. The workshop will bring together representatives from public institutions, government agencies, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organisations, foundations, civil society as well as youth-focused organisations.
In order to assess the availability of youth data in Ghana, a baseline data audit of key decision-making institutions was conducted and couched into a thorough report which underpins this workshop.
The workshop which is slated for 24 April, 2015 at the British Council, Accra will provide space for receiving stakeholders’ feedback on the youth data audit report, and inform stakeholders on the Big Idea initiative in Ghana – its objectives, current progress and implications of the youth data audit. The workshop will also provide a platform for stakeholders to engage in a dialogue on youth data and open data in the context of the shift from the MDG’s to the SDG’s. This will include the sharing of roles and responsibilities.
This dissemination workshop is a major culmination of a series of activities under the Big Idea project initiated by Restless Development in partnership with YES-Ghana. The project aims to build the capacity of young people across the country to gather, analyse and share data in order to participate in accountability processes.
