The Career Resource Centre was funded by the UNDP Ghana office served as a one-stop-shop for information and advisory services on career development for young people. Apart from providing one-on-one career guidance and counselling for young people, the Centre also provided access to online resources and reading materials relevant to youth development and career choices, including accessing start-up capital, nursing a business idea, business partnerships etc.

The Centre also hosted an updated database of job vacancies, business opportunities and funding prospects. During its operation, the Centre has attracted an average of 30 visitors daily.

As part of the efforts to extend the personal development support to young people in the countryside, Skills Building Seminars were organised in public tertiary institutions across the country. The purpose of these skills building sessions was to train young graduating finalists of Universities and Polytechnic in basic livelihoods skills, including writing a winning CV, job interview skills, basic skills in starting a small enterprise, basic work skills, interpersonal skills and increased confidence and self-esteem, communication skills, among others. By the end of the project, over 1,200 young people in 10 institutions benefited from the seminars, many of whom have gained essential skills so necessary to earn them a right footing as they venture into the world of work.
